I love this game. Is there a way to keep all the collected lives after playing awhile? For example, if I quite the game with 6 or 7 lives I want to have the same number of lives when I come back. Now, when I do that, I start that same game with only 5 lives.

No, there isn't. Unfortunately, if you have more than 5 lives when you close the game, you will lose some of them. You can't do anything to fix the problem. This has been implemented by Sandlot Games Corporation, the game developer.
